Eastern Iowa Community Colleges’ (EICC) Marketing team recently received eight Medallion Awards from the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations (NCMPR), which were presented during the 2020 District 5 Medallion Awards virtual ceremony.
The NCMPR Medallion Awards recognize outstanding achievement in design and communication at community and technical colleges in each of NCMPR’s seven districts. The regional competition is exclusive to marketing and public relations professionals at two-year colleges. The college is part of District 5 and was up against strong competition from community and technical colleges from Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, the Canadian province of Manitoba, Puerto Rico and Virgin Islands.
EICC received awards in the following categories:
Newsletter – Gold
The college’s quarterly THE Community’s College Magazine received top honors in this category. The magazine is mailed out to more than 45,000 homes within the district.

Microsite – Gold
In addition to the print edition of THE Community’s College Magazine, the marketing team produces an online version, tccmagazine.org.
Video Long-Form – Gold
To help students understand what to expect when returning to classes this fall, EICC shared this video through email and other digital platforms.
