Muscatine Community College kicked off its 90th Anniversary with a pair of events

The Greater Muscatine Chamber of Commerce and Industry helped start the academic year with a Business After Hours in September. Guests had the opportunity to see what’s new at the college, like the virtual reality science lab, and reminisce about its beginnings, sifting through the college archives.

Speaking of those archives, the college library is compiling photos from years gone by and some of those will be featured on the alumni association’s Facebook page.

The Muscatine Civic Chorale, started in 1975 by MCC music instructor Jeordano (Pete) Martinez will be performing “A Cool Jazz Christmas” on Nov. 22 at 7 p.m. The performance is dedicated to the college’s 90th anniversary and will be held in its Bob Roach Little Theatre.

Much more will be upcoming. Keep an eye out on our website, eicc.edu for the latest.
