Business Training Partnerships

Eastern Iowa Community Colleges (EICC) continually looks for innovative new partnerships to improve training and education for the businesses and communities we serve. A recent addition, ATW Training, is now available and provides a variety of classes designed for current, emerging and future leaders within organizations and is also applicable to organizational development and human resources staff.

“This is one example of the many partners we work with who match our institutional values and the EICC mission to provide exceptional and affordable training,” said Tyne Rieck, Curriculum and Talent Manager for Business and IT Programs. “These new classes include topics such as difficult conversations, a one-day manager boot camp, problem-solving for the workplace, and leading teams and thriving through change,” she said.

“The instructors are top-notch. They come from a wide variety of workplaces, are certified facilitators in numerous programs and truly enjoy teaching.”

The courses have also been well-vetted. Revisions are made based on continuous feedback from thousands of students, ensuring the best experience possible. They can be taken on campus, or businesses can request to have the training delivered to entire teams of employees at their company location.

“We do that frequently,” said Rieck. “However, many businesses within the Quad Cities and surrounding areas employ less than 20 people, so we also offer these public sessions as an opportunity for those employees to receive world-class training.” Rieck encourages the community to check out the new training, as well as everything Continuing Education offers.

“Continuing Education has many different categories, including business, technology, industry, trades, health professions, safety, OSHA, life and leisure, and more. It can be hard to know everything that we offer – there is just so much! So please do not hesitate to reach out if you have questions. We’re happy to help!”
