Wow… it’s finally here. After several months of work, a fair share of late nights and the occasional gnashing of teeth, THE Community’s College Magazine is a reality. (We’re calling it TCC Magazine for short.)
A dedicated group of Eastern Iowa Community Colleges staff really rolled up their sleeves to bring you this new magazine, both in printed and online format.
Their stated goal is to present you the stories behind the scenes, the ones illustrating why EICC is THE Community’s College.
Among stories featured in this first edition are women in transportation programs, our soon-to-be-opened Urban Campus in downtown Davenport, extensive renovations in library facilities at both Clinton and Muscatine Community Colleges, how EICC leads the state in student diversity and the exciting things students do on their summer vacations.
Our online magazine forges further in-depth with even more about those stories. This is where you will find personal videos with each of the students featured in that women in transportation story, additional photos of our library renovations and more.
We encourage you to check back often. The online magazine will be a living, continuously growing space. More stories, photos and videos will be presented here, between publications of the magazine, for which there just isn’t enough room in the printed version.
By the way, the reason we are THE Community’s College is that, more than any other college, we are connected and involved in the communities we serve. We are the sixth largest college in the state of Iowa, serving 1 in 10 area residents every year.
Thank you so much for checking out this new magazine. If you can’t tell, we’re pretty excited about it. If you have any questions or comments just send them on over to eiccinfo@eicc.edu
